I'm cold...

Well folks it has been -22 here recently... and no I am not joking and no, that doesn't include the wind chill... I didn't even bother to check the temp with the windchill added in. This is why our entire downtown area is connected thru skyways... -22 PEOPLE!

In other news, little Emma has made her first successful attempts on the potty! She is only 18 months old so we aren't expecting to be done shopping for diapers anytime soon but still so exciting! She is quite proud too and boy do we make a big deal about it! She can even say the word, "potty" which really does make the experience all the more endearing for mommy...

Up, up and away...

I start my blog with a photo... this was my Christmas present from my parents this year... a dream of mine come true. I had wanted to go hot air ballooning since I was a child. Every year I would see balloons soar through the skies of St. Louis during the Forest Park Balloon Race and I would say that someday that would be me... Well fast forward 20+ years and on Monday, Dec. 29 I was soaring above the desert of Arizona. It was a great trip and an even better memory that I got to share with my dad who was along for the ride.

After our flight had lift off, we soared above the desert for a little over an hour taking in the sights of the early morning desert landscape. After our flight and exciting landing, it is quite a thrill to land- the basket nearly tips over!, we had a nice catered breakfast in the desert.

- My brave little swimmer! She eventually took off the water wings and just used the noodle. She is getting so big!
Another example of Anna's bravery... she wrote this camel all by herself at the Phoenix Zoo! She said it was a very bumpy ride.
