So much to think about...

Do you ever have those days when things are just not going your way? I have them more often than I like but I am beginning to realize that "those days" are meant for me to put things in perspective... you see I work in a non-profit and every day I see people coming and going who are battling the disease of cancer in some form of fashion. This past Friday I went to my first "radiation" party - the party was for my co-worker who had just completed her last treatment for radiation. The most amazing thing about this individual is what she does on a daily basis. She counsels current cancer patients, fits their balding heads with a free wig and gives them hope that the fight against cancer is worth it. Now I realize that there are many good causes out there to contribute your time and money too, but cancer and I have a close connection and that is why I have dedicated my life to fighting it. I encourage you to find something close to your heart to fight for, whether it is a religious cause or not. Dedicating our lives to serving others is the greatest gift we can receive and give to others... I have never worked so hard in a job as I do today but also I have never felt so gratified in my career. We all have our careers whether they are in the "working" world or "working" home. Regardless I feel we are all called to fulfill a mission and I am so glad that at the tender age of 26, I think this is my mission.

I am not one to speak very loudly about religion (except in a debate that is). But God is such a profound example of how we are to pattern our existence here on earth that I can't keep quiet about it. I try to live my life by example. I am a firm believer in the good in people and working in the environment I am in, everyday I am reassured that there is good in the world and people willing to put others before themselves for a passionate cause.

Believe in something and share it with others...

Baby #2 is a ...

GIRL! Yes that's right we are having another girl! We found out yesterday and as you all know, I am a planner so not finding out is just something I couldn't deal with so after a little coaxing, she finally gave in and showed her goods! Her name is Emma Rose by the way - We can't wait to meet her - last night I went and bought clothes for her because I gave nearly everything of Anna's away or sold it on EBAY because I was sure I wasn't having anymore! Oh well I don't mind shopping so it works out perfectly...

Anna is ok for the most part that there is a new person coming into the family - we talk about it but she isn't too fond of me talking to other kids ever! She gets incredibly jealous when I even look at another kid - just last weekend she went nuts when her grandmother talked to Mitchell, her cousin - she immediately demanded Grandma's attention... ahhh I can't wait - this is all going to be such a challenge but I am sure we'll come out on top!

Things are going great at work for both Adam and I - we are finally in jobs that we truly enjoy and I can't tell you what a difference that makes in our every day lives. We just so much more relaxed about everything... life is good. We have no complaints except maybe the 12 inches of snow that are piling up as I write to you all.

Hope everyone's lives are treating them well - Take care!
