Blessings

Well we have had quite a whirlwind the last couple of weeks -- some of you know, some of you don't... this pregnancy has dealt me quite a few complications already - i have had bleeding off and on for the last 5 weeks and i have had two ultrasounds to check on the baby. Yesterday was the second ultrasound and thankfully there was a heartbeat. I bawled when i saw the baby on the monitor waving its arms and legs. I really was trying to prepare myself for a miscarriage because i felt like too many things had gone wrong already for this pregnancy to stay healthy. Thankfully I was wrong about everything! The baby is doing good and measuring at 10 weeks which is exactly where I am so the development appears to be progressing properly - as for the bleeding, it is very likely that it will continue for a few more weeks or so - The hemorrage that is surrounding the sac is just taking its time and my body isn't reabsorbing any of it so in turn, i am bleeding regularly... There is nothing more scary in my opinion than those first few months before the baby moves and the heartbeat isn't always heard... It is amazing to me that our parents and their parents weren't stressed there entire pregnancies because they knew even less than we do today about the process...

So all in all I am supposed to continue to take it easy - no heavy lifting (my 27 pound toddler hasn't figured that out yet) and no major housework like vaccuuming etc. But thanks to my husband - he does most if not all of the housework on a regular basis anyway so I am blessed to not have to worry about it!

I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday this year. We are going to Rochester to celebrate with Adam's family on Christmas eve day but we are coming home that night so that Anna can wake up at home on Christmas morning! This year is going to be so much fun for her because last year she just drooled on the presents and ate the paper but this year I know she is going to really enjoy receiving the actual present and not just the wrapping paper!

Here is our little muffin in her Christmas dress under the tree ~ Merry Christmas everyone!

Updates

Hi everyone! I know it has been awhile but i see others haven't been updating faithfully either! Things have been so busy in our household. Adam accepted a new job with Toyota Financial that starts January 2. We are pretty excited about it because he has a better schedule, fewer weekends and of course more $$ - and with baby #2 on the way saving is definitely a priority!

I am keeping busy with the Christmas shopping season in full swing - just a few more things to take care of this weekend and then I am done!

Not sure how many or if any of you know about the complications I have had with this pregnancy. I had some bleeding around 5 weeks and had an ultrasound at 7 weeks to discover that I had a sub-chorionic hemorrage in my uterus. Well turns out the baby was fine! but there was some unnecessary stress to the fetus so they wanted me to just be aware that I might have addtional bleeding but it would most likely be ok. Well sure enough I had that "additional bleeding" over the weekend... I am trying to stay calm because they said my stress level should stay down because that effects the health of the baby as well so I am trying but as you all know, the holidays, a house full and being sick don't exactly add up to a stress free life...

Well keep our family in your prayers as we wait for our heart beat check next Tuesday...
