Staying put...

Well we are off the market. It has taken such an emotional toll on us not to mention financial after going thru the motions of thinking we were moving and now not moving... So we are staying put. Accepting it hasn't been easy but all in all we think this is the best decision at this time.

So what else is new with us? Well we are embarking on our first road trip next week - yes i know... we have spoiled ourselves with flying and it has just gotten too expensive now that we have to buy three plane tickets! So the trip to the annual Blueberry Festival in South Haven, MI where my folks call home is going to be the longest 9 hours of my life in the car... You see my kids HATE the car - I knew everyone says - "oh they'll sleep in the car..." NOT MY TWO. They don't sleep in the car. But we are risking it anyway - hoping that we can lure them to sleep with portable dvd players and night travel... oh I pray this doesn't cause my hair to fall out!

Any suggestions on traveling from you road-trip mommies - send em my way...

A year goes by...

My little Emma Wemma is one... oh how the year has changed us... I don't have oodles of time to write as I haven't slept a great deal in two days now... cleaning for our open house, trip to the cabin for Adam's family reunion and Anna got the flu...

For those that don't know, the deal on our house fell through - our buyer backed out. We lost the new house too. We have recovered emotionally and are still hoping to sell and buy a new place but we just have to rework the original timing :-)

Well here she is... ONE YEAR OLD! And a very happy birthday to our friends Titus, Emily and Ava!!
