So much to think about...
Do you ever have those days when things are just not going your way? I have them more often than I like but I am beginning to realize that "those days" are meant for me to put things in perspective... you see I work in a non-profit and every day I see people coming and going who are battling the disease of cancer in some form of fashion. This past Friday I went to my first "radiation" party - the party was for my co-worker who had just completed her last treatment for radiation. The most amazing thing about this individual is what she does on a daily basis. She counsels current cancer patients, fits their balding heads with a free wig and gives them hope that the fight against cancer is worth it. Now I realize that there are many good causes out there to contribute your time and money too, but cancer and I have a close connection and that is why I have dedicated my life to fighting it. I encourage you to find something close to your heart to fight for, whether it is a religious cause or not. Dedicating our lives to serving others is the greatest gift we can receive and give to others... I have never worked so hard in a job as I do today but also I have never felt so gratified in my career. We all have our careers whether they are in the "working" world or "working" home. Regardless I feel we are all called to fulfill a mission and I am so glad that at the tender age of 26, I think this is my mission.
I am not one to speak very loudly about religion (except in a debate that is). But God is such a profound example of how we are to pattern our existence here on earth that I can't keep quiet about it. I try to live my life by example. I am a firm believer in the good in people and working in the environment I am in, everyday I am reassured that there is good in the world and people willing to put others before themselves for a passionate cause.
Believe in something and share it with others...

Jaime-
I'm not sure what your e-mail address with you changing jobs... but I wanted to invite you to come down to Houston and get together with the girls:) Sara was coming down this way with Philiip for a business trip and I teased Jenn about coming...and she is ACTUALLY coming too! I thought I would extend the invitation to you..it wouldn't be complete without you there. They are heading this way the week following Easter. We have big plans to go to the beach and the zoo and just do a BUNCH of girl talk. Sara says our kids and "fetuses" can play together!
I don't know how possible it is for you this close to the time especially with your new job. But I still you HERE:)
Hey Jamie,
Wonderful blog. I'm so glad to see you doing something you feel is so important and working with others that need someone the most right now. That's why I moved to NJ to be with my Mom. Which by the way is doing wonderful. I think having this baby around her is making her better. She is too excited for Parker to arrive. Keep up the good work for the Lord and know that he is over joyed with your task.
